Several colorful Kalosian curses left Elisabeth's lips as the underboss surged forward on a bevy of vines, shaking up from the ground in answer to the GRUDGES that Wo-chien stirred deep inside the blackest places of her heart. They lifted her from roof to roof, then alley to alley, betraying her location even as she managed to evade the worst of the officers in hot pursuit of the wanted terrorist.[break][break]

The police weren't exactly a threat to her, per se -- more an irritant. Avatarship made typical measures of law enforcement falter fairly quickly.[break][break]

But that made her, unfortunately, excellent bait when it came to luring the police away from the actual smuggling operations occurring on the other side of town.[break][break]

"Underbosses are supposed to be done with this shit," she complained to the Ruinous Beast by her side as they stopped for a moment's breather in the shadow of a rundown burrito food truck. "Fuck Rocket, honestly."[break][break]

Exhaustion had begun to claim her at this point, and she wished -- not for the first time -- that her powers didn't drain her so terribly under duress. Carmine eyes flashed with agitation as the sound of police sirens blasted through the air, and she spit out another complaint before she caught sight of an unexpected blessing:[break][break]

A random biker eating a burrito, his motorcycle, and nothing but a single Houndour standing in her way of stealing that property for herself.[break][break]

Dark energies surged around Wo-chien, forming the latent threat of RUINATION as its ochre eyes narrowed at the canine Pokemon.[break][break]

"I'm commandeering your motorcycle," the underboss said in a tone that brooked no argument as she moved to seat herself on it. Immediately, she realized her mistake, overwhelmed by the novelty of the vehicle. Cars alone had perplexed her. It took her about two seconds to save face, turning to the stranger with narrowed eyes.[break][break]

"If you want to live? You and your Houndour are driving us out of here. Now."

Dirk stopped mid way through bringing the burrito up for another bite, him and Houndour were goin' back and forth on the thing due to their limited funds, to stare at the newly arrived women and her weird slug pokemon thingy.

He and his Houndour shared a look, before he turned back and glared at the women while Houndour began to growl, not the actual move he didn't know that, and fire licked behind its teeth

"Whats your damage lady! Can't a man enjoy his freakin' burrito in this day n' age!" Dirk's scowl and pointed the partially eaten burrito at the woman like it was a pointer, shaking it all the while to accentuate his speech. "I also ain't givin' you my bike! You ain't the first person to try, an' you sure ain't gonna be the last!"

"DOUR!" Barked Houndour at his side!

Some threats required demonstration.[break][break]

The looming presence of RUINATION building around Wo-chien darkened to a feverish pitch-black, and suddenly, the burrito food truck behind them was consumed in the same nefarious energies. It took only a moment for the inevitable to occur in response to this ominous force.[break][break]

**BOOM!**

The truck imploded.[break][break]

Burritos rained from the skies, a hail of beans and ground beef pelting the ground in ugly brown smudges. Poor calculation led to some landing likewise in Elisabeth's hair, though she pretended not to be annoyed by her vanity becoming collateral damage.[break][break]

"Imagine how that works on people," she quipped idly, plucking a stray leaf of wilted lettuce from her hair. "Don't make me ask you the same question again. I am loathe to repeat myself."[break][break]

Wo-chien settled itself in the seat that was presumably preferred for use by the Houndour, hissing back smugly at the Fire-type as it got comfortable. In the distance the shriek of police alarms grew louder and louder.[break][break]

She glared at him, feet dangerously close to accelerating the pedals and abandoning him on her own.[break][break]

"Or are you and your little dog so eager to discover what your insides look like?"

"Dour!" The dog practically laugh-growled at the Slug Woman pair

"Pfft, yeah Lady, not everyone knows some jumped up-" Dirk's mocking's died in his mouth as the blood left, followed by water, leaving him a shriveled husk with its finger raised as the burrito truck he just bought a lovely burrito from exploded with the force of a thousand thunderous burrito after effects.

Houndour, by his side, had its jaw open, its now dribbling, its eyes bulging from its head, completely white as a sheet.

Not even the burrito impacting Houndour and knocking him from the bike, nor the replacement burrito finding itself impaled upon his pointed finger broke them from their shock.

The Biker turned like a statue as the woman began speaking once again, the Biker only shriveled more and more, until there was nothing but the puckered remains of his face left to tell his tale. "N-n-n--n-n-n-no~! W-w-w-whill b-be h-h-h-h-h-happy to assssit!" Dirk huffed with suddenly very dry lips and mouth.

In a flash, Dirk had polished and brushed and made the spot the woman would sit- which would be behind him with skootched up in the seat to drive while she got the nice back of the chair like seat. She got to relax in the seat while Dirk got to make due with managing his posture himself.

Houndour did much the same to the center console where he himself reclined, sparkling fresh and clean that you could eat off of it! Ready for the Slug pokemon!

"R-right after you, Madam!"

A slight smirk pulled at her lips, an admitted excitement at being feared rushing through her as she took her seat on the motorcycle. The last time she'd ridden one of these had been with anya fowl outside a Lilycove bar; it had been a decidedly different ambience, in a decidedly different situation.[break][break]

The lack of police cars being a significant deviation, for example.[break][break]

"I need you to lead me out of Slateport," she said firmly, glancing over to see her Ruinous Beast lording over the Houndour with an almost comical sense of superiority. "As fast as possible."[break][break]

She'd not really gotten used to riding fast vehicles, but how difficult could it be? So she reasoned with herself, anyway.[break][break]

Glancing over her shoulder, she rolled her eyes, lifting a hand as the ground began to shake beneath them. A thicket of thorned vines ripped up through the cement behind them, seeking to provide a delay to the officers rapidly approaching.[break][break]

"While you're in the front seat," she said, "I'll handle what's behind us."[break][break]

It was a foolproof plan, really. And yet... why did she get this looming sense that things wouldn't be that simple?
